Sometimes I wonder if politicians are just from another planet where math is optional, spin is the norm, and people are meant to not listen to what's being said. I don't like that planet. Here's some common sense about health care reform that may surprise you. I'm against Obama's plan, but watch the video to understand why and what I propose.

Remember when the economy was a big issue? What ever happened with that? Oh right. We're turning it around and we're in a recovery. Sorry. I, along with the hundreds of thousands of people joining the unemployment rolls every month didn't get the memo.

Remember when the voting machines were flawed and going to ruin democracy? Somehow almost a year after the election of a new President there isn't a peep about those malfunctioning machines; the same ones that "rigged" an election for Bush. Since nothing changed, why did we suddenly start trusting the machines?

Sorry for the longish video, but I have a lot on my mind here. It seems a lot of people, according to our President, are misinterpreting the bill (HR 3200) and scaring people with their misinformation. The President himself has lied numerous times about keeping your plan, and continues to do so, even though there's nothing in the bill that says, as definitively as the President has, that "You can keep your plan. Period." My suggestion? Write it into the bill. In plain english. So everyone can see it and understand it. That would eliminate all the interpretation going on. That is, of course, if keeping your plan and doctor are something you want from the plan.

Locall 1199 is rallying, today, in Times Square for healthcare reform. I find this pretty ironic because part of these rallies is always railing against evil insurance companies. That's all well and good, but what happens when the union IS the insurance company?

Suddenly they Mayor of NYC, who loved Snapple back in 2003, isn't a fan, and wants you to know it might kill you. Ch ch ch chaaaaaanges...
